Advertising in Philadelphia

Advertising: Philadelphia vs. Salt Lake City

October 2, 2012

While walking to the University of Pennsylvania I noticed this ad in a storefront on Walnut Street between 21st and 22nd. I’m fairly certain it would not pass code in Salt Lake (where I’m currently living).

The ad has since been removed.

From my 13-14 years spent in Utah, I formed the opinion that a lot of folks really needed to grow a sense of humor….

I’d venture to say you correct Rona! Only in Philly, or maybe NYC could you get away with that!

    I’m an embarrassed Philadelphian.

  12. I had to read it twice. Funny, but people in Georgia would have a spell too. But I thought it was funny…

  13. That’s persuasive advertising at its (controversial) best! It had to be an incredibly bold person to put it up in the first place :) .

Aha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! That is an awesome ad. I probably wouldn’t do so well in Vancouver either but I find that most people just need to find a sense of humour. That was a great find!

  15. LOL! Yes, very persuasive advertising, indeed! :-)

  16. That’s really funny!!

The logic suggests it could be someone else’s hair? now that’s truly bizarre …
I guess ‘yours’ is to be read as referencing hair color rather than the hair itself. lol
